Why do you serve at Caring Community?

Volunteering allows me opportunities to use the gifts God has given me.  His gifts aren’t just for my benefit, but are also intended to help build others.

How long have you been serving at Caring Community?

Tom and I came to CCC in June ‘23, right after we both retired. God laid it on my heart that it was time for me to serve again. In Spring of 2024, I joined the food packing team.

What area(s) do you serve in, or have you served in the past?

Besides food packing, I am a class assistant for Caring Kids.  I have also helped in the kitchen when needed.  I try to make myself available to help in the background when an extra hand is needed.

What is something you would like to share to encourage others to volunteer?

Becoming a volunteer has helped me to get to know others and given me the opportunity to make friends in a place new to us. I have found joy in exercising God’s gifts as He directs and blessing others. God gives gifts and talents to everyone. Newer Christians can be in need of a reminder of what gifts they’ve been given. Pastor Tamar often offers tools that can help you discover God’s gifts. Prayerfully ask God to show you them & how to use them, then step out in faith in Him and exercise your gifts. You will find joy & grow in the Body of Christ!
